I am from...

“I am from”

Got this idea from the radio show and blog "ON BEING." Let’s use this incomplete line as an opportunity to share and learn about each other, have a little fun.

Here are the guidelines: answer it any way you like. If you want to build on this phrase in prose — with one word, one sentence, one paragraph, one essay, then do so. If you want to finish this phrase with a photo or a photo essay, then do it. If you want to elaborate on this phrase with a line of poesy or a stanza, then do so.

Share something about yourself, your heritage, your geography, your interior mind, your imaginings or vulnerabilities.

  1. I find my being in wonderful places

    - recalling memories of the baby boomer generation ,family stories of Blitzed London and doodle bugs handed down lest we forget and a happy childhood playing with abandon with the neighbourhood kids

-being born to teach young children This brought a lifelong fascination for learning laughter and ceaseless curiosity even to this day.It is a priviledge

    - being encouraging ,understanding and being blest by receiving smiles and spontaneous hugs.

    - being fascinated by watching life ,interpreting body language and listening to restful relaxing silences

    - being uncomfortable in atmospheres laced with mistrust and competing egos and trying to deal with them as wisely as I can

-being at peace when with my soul mate because it is then that I can be truly my honest self warts and all.

-being a wife ,mother ,sister friend and grandmother

-shivering with joy when I touch God's love for us all .It keeps me centred and I can be so much more in his light , embrace and strength .

-being able to share that light of love wherever I am each day humbled by a friend who drank said one day "We are here to pass loving kindness on to each other "He has since died from that devastating disease not knowing his own self worth .

Nature keeps me rooted and keeps pride in its proper place . How can you not be dwarfed by the view of Denali ,the melting understanding eyes of a BT or the rainbow light in a raindrop?
